Juliusism Sunday!!

Juliusism:
For Julius's preschool graduation we decided we'd take him and the rest of the boys out for dinner to celebrate! Julius's restaurant of choice was IHop, as he said he wanted pancakes, and is a huge lover of bacon!!!

When we were finished we began filing out one by one. Julius, bringing up the rear, came out with his drink in one hand, and a long piece of bacon  in the other.

He says "Leave no bacon behind"!!!

 That's his motto!!

Dream Man!

Me: I had the strangest dream last night.
Michael: What was it about?
Me: I don't know it just seemed to be one continous dream, but it just didn't make any sense. Almost like a thousand things were happening at once, and I couldn't keep up.
Michael: Oh. Well, I never dream.
Me: Everyone dreams Michael. It's just that sometimes you don't recall them. They say the average person has at least three dreams a night.
Michael: Not me.
Me: Why do you think that?
Michael: Because dreaming is for girls!

Good Grief!!!

Julius: Mom, you should go to bed early your sick.
Me: Oh I would love too, but I have to wait up until your brother comes home from his party.
Julius: You know there are two parents. (holds up two fingers)
Me: Yeah, your right! So that means your father has to stay up and wait for Michael!
Smart kid!!!

Update on Kayla!!

As some of you may already know, but it was recently discovered that my 19 year old niece, Kayla has a benign tumor in her brain that is connected to her optical nerve and is not removable due to the area.  The mass is continuing to grow, and before it effects the sight in her other eye they opted to do chemotherapy to try to stop the growth, or even better shrink it.  Chemo began yesterday......as well as the side effects.  All seemed well afterwards, but she was ill throughout the night!  Prayers would be much appreciated! I love my baby girl.

Juliusism:

Julius: Mom, Ashley in my class thinks my last name sounds like "Swoozie".

Me: Well, did you tell her how its suppose to sound?

Julius: Yes, but she still says Swoozie!!!

Me: Is she doing it on purpose or she really can't say it?

Julius: She really can't say it. I hate to say it, but you really should have called me Luke Skywalker like I said before.

Meet Devan! Our Very Own.....ummmm. Well, you'll see!

Devan is 13 years old and keeps us in stitches or should I say he keeps himself in stitches too!?  Not only is he accident prone, he always speaks before he thinks.

Devan(Eating breakfast one morning.....this year): Where do you think eggs come from?
All three older boys(groaning): Devvvvvaaannnn!  You deserve a neck for that!!

The definition of a neck is when someone roughly swipes a hand on the back of your neck....its equilvant to giving an "indian sunburn" on the wrist.... like we did when we were kids!

Join The Circus!

The hubby had some leftover basketball socks from his AAU team. They have a sharp looking Tiger logo, and 5 year old Julius thinks they are very cool...despite them being too big for him.

Anyhow, his dad gave him a pair and Julius was super excited. This morning he decides that he is going to wear them to school. When I come downstairs he has his pant legs tucked into the the socks, and they are hauled up passed his knees. Apparently, he wanted to make sure his friends saw them, was the reasoning I was given. In comes big brother Isaiah and takes one look at Julius's clothes and he says "Dude! You can't wear it that way...people will think your a clown!"

My big news for the week!!!  I signed my first publishing contract with Mountain Springs House Publishing for my children's picture book Once Upon A Time On Bunny Town Lane! 

Meet DeAnthony!

DeAnthony 12 years old and is as intelligent, as he is stubborn!!! Let's just say he gives us a run for our money!

His asperations in life is to become a baker!!  He loves sweets, so why not make them!

We have decided to open a coffee shop together when he's finished learning his trade, and we're going to call it Fat Daddy Cafe.  Fat Daddy was the nickname given to him by his biological mom, and it just seemed fitting to use that special pet name.

Sheldon is that you.....nevermind its Dejon!

Dejon: Mom, I fixed Isaiah's bed frame, but its about as strong as a hydrogen bond, between two atoms!
Mom: Are you saying its going to blow up!?
Dejon(shakes his head): Nooooo......I said hydroden "bond", not "bomb".
Mom: Ohhhh........so that isn't good, right?
Dejon: No, because the atoms need to continuously unzip to replicate themselves.
Me: *scratches head*
Dejon: It means the bed is not very sturdy.
Me: Couldn't you just say that next time?!

Isaiah will be nine years old come this summer, and is the family cuddle bug! He has an amazing smile, and eyes that let you see deep into his soul!
