Juliusism Sunday!

A friend posted this pic on Facebook the other day. Julius was looking over my shoulder and I explained to him that some men wear kilts in Scotland, so it would be hard to tell which bathroom was for women and which one was for the men.  

He said, "I can tell you right now which one is which." 

I gave him a skeptical look, but I was intrigued and wanted to hear what his thoughts. "How can you tell?"  

       He shrugged his shoulders said, "It's easy.  It's the one on the left....women have bigger heads."  

I'll take that as a compliment...bigger heads, equals bigger brains!

My conversation with the 17 year old while folding laundry.

Michael: You're in my flight zone.
Me: What?Michael: Do you know what that means?
Me: No. Do I want to?
Michael: It means you're in my personal space.
Me: Huh? Well, since I own the house you're technically in international air space.
Do you know what that means?
Michael: No.
Me: It means I will pluck you from the sky without any further warning.

Juliusism Sunday!

Julius: Daddy gave me my allowance and Isaiah got his too. I just don't know what I want to spend it on. Me: Why do you need to spend it? You could just save it and maybe there will be something later on that you really want. Then you'll have the money all saved. Isaiah: We want to buy Disney Infinity for our PS3....we are going to put our money together to buy it.
Me: Yes, you can do that and that's a good goal if that's what you both want. You know...you guys could always just save it for a rainy day.
 
Julius: You want me to buy an umbrella with my allowance!!!??? That's dumb!

Too cliche for a 7 year old, methinks.

OMGee!! I love surprises and I got a wonderful one in the mail today compliments of Historical Romance Author and friend, Ria Cantrell!

At the moment, I'm tapping into my inner princess and may never take my tiara off! It's beautiful Ria!! Thank you so very much!!!

Every time one of the boys starts a sentence with "Mom", I correct them and say, "That's your Highness."
And Julius is making me do the "princess" wave! I'm pretty sure I look like Kate Middleton right now! *snort*

I asked Julius where our dog Moose was, because he let him outside and he's a roamer! Not always a good thing when you have neighbors.


Me: Where's Moose?
Julius: Outside. Why are you afraid he's going to wander over yonder?

Raising A Super Hero!

I was in the exam room waiting for Isaiah's doctor to come in this morning and I noticed his nails are really long.

I said, "Isaiah, you really need to clip your nails."

He said, "I know, right? I just clipped them and they're already growing back. It's like...it's like I'm Wolverine or something!"

Julius: Well, I'm not very happy.
Me: Why? What's the matter?
Julius: My poptart isn't talking to me.
Me: Ummm...what? Your poptart isn't talking to you????
Julius: Yeah.
Me: Okayyyyy and should it be?
Julius: Yes. Never mind, its probably not talking, because I'm eating it.
